Dr. Mariana Ballesteros obtained a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2013, a Master's degree in advanced technologies with honors in 2016, both at the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN).
She is a Doctor of Science with a specialty in automatic control from the Center for Research and Advanced Studies (Cinvestav IPN) and is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI level I). She did a research stay during her PhD at the Institut National de Recherche en Sciences et Technologies du Numérique (Inria) in Lille-France where she worked on neural networks applied to homogeneous systems. Mariana has experience in the area of teaching at the undergraduate level, she has co-directed the theses of four students at the undergraduate level and is co-directing two theses at the master's level at the IPN, she has publications in national and international congresses and articles in JCR journals.
